Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the cause of highway development has been developing rapidly in our country. Especially since the reform and opening up, there has been an unprecedented speed of development of highway transportation. By the end of 1991, the total mileage of highways in our country had reached 1.04 million km, of which the mileage of highways reached 574km and the mileage of highways above the second grade reached 51200km.
