当研究目的从描写语言行为发展到解释人类语言能力时,语言学就必然要走上认知科学的道路,语言神经机制和脑功能将成为其重要的研究领域,形成跨学科的神经语言学。神经语言学在很大程度上代表了语言学的当代形态,其最显著的特点表现在方法论和研究范式上。神经语言学本质上仍属于基础学科,但有着广泛的应用前景。作为当代学术前沿的神经语言学完全符合当代前沿科学学术研究的形态特征,其研究成果切实推动、深化和引领了当代科学研究,在人力资源和学术资源的分配上改变了当代语言学甚至当代科学的格局,体现了神经语言学对语言学学术创新的贡献力,对相关前沿科学创新的贡献力,以及对其他人文和社会科学的引领作用。中国的神经语言学研究如能在国家层面加强规划,重点支持,大力开展专门人才的培养和跨学科研究团队的建设,瞄准国际学术前沿,发挥后发优势,勇于创新,摒弃浮躁,那么,中国神经语言学的发展就有了坚实的基础,就能够推动中国语言学的学术创新,体现出对相关前沿科学创新的贡献力。
