及早让孩子接触音乐,对于提升孩子对音乐感受力、模仿力、创造力和对节拍认知都有直接或间接的帮助。在当今城镇散落的各种不同规格的民间音乐教室(或类似教学机构),通常都可以为家长和孩子提供一个相对开放性的音乐园地。在这样的一个环境里,经过教师的专业化训练,孩子们可以在活泼开朗,自由自在的空间内随心所欲地随着音乐的旋律而自由活动。在授课时,老师应该尽量以说故事的方式给学生叙述课程的内容,让学生能够自己感受或体会到乐曲的生命律动,进而引发孩子的幻想能力达到极点,并尝试着表达出自己内心的意念。在这样的基础上让孩子们随着节拍做动作和做慢动作地运动,从而逐步培养孩子对音乐的感受力、模仿力、创造力和节拍感。如此的教学方法,对于少儿的初级音乐教学有诸多益处。
