Objective To explore the follow-up of nurses based on the endocrine monitoring platform of breast cancer on the medication compliance and quality of life of patients with endocrine-treated breast cancer. Methods To construct a medication monitoring platform for endocrine treatment of breast cancer patients. Randomized controlled study design was used. The patients were randomly divided into experimental group (157 cases) and control group (154 cases). The experimental group based on routine care, the implementation of drug monitoring platform nurses follow-up. The control group using conventional follow-up mode, to participate in the hospital’s routine follow-up. The medication adherence and quality of life of the two groups were evaluated at 3 months, 6 months, 18 months and 24 months respectively. Results The medication compliance scores in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group at 6 months, 18 months and 24 months respectively (P <0.05). There was significant time effect in all dimensions of the quality of life questionnaire, but there was no difference between the groups P> 0.05). Conclusion The follow-up of nurses based on drug monitoring platform can improve the medication adherence of endocrine-treated breast cancer patients, but the effect is not obvious to improve the overall quality of life.
