黔南特色菜历史悠久,是黔南地区的少数民族在长期生产和生活过程中形成的民族美食,极赋地方特色和民族文化。做好特色菜的英译,是促进黔南州旅游业的发展和民族文化传播的重要手段,特色菜的英译从某种程度上说具有一定的文化外宣的战略意义。但是黔南特色菜的英译还存在着许多诸如缺译、翻译不贴切、精通翻译的人员匮乏、地方政府够不重视等问题。本文结合这些问题提出了注重中西文化差异原则、音译原则、具体菜名具体分析等策略,对黔南特色菜的英译进行一次积极的尝试。
Qiannan specialty dishes have a long history and are ethnic delicacies formed by ethnic minorities in the Qiannan area during their long-term production and livelihood. They are extremely rich in local characteristics and national culture. The English translation of specialties is an important means to promote the tourism development and ethnic culture in Qiannan Prefecture. To some extent, the English translation of characteristic dishes has some strategic significance of cultural outreach. However, there are still many problems in English translation of Qiannan specialties, such as lack of translation, inappropriate translation, proficiency in translation, lack of attention by local governments. Combining with these problems, this paper puts forward a strategy of paying attention to the differences between Chinese and western culture, the transliteration principle and the specific analysis of specific dish names.
