云南马关八寨至木厂地区基性——超基性火山角砾岩筒极其发育,其中含有较丰富的宝石级红色石榴石,以颜色浓度高、透明度好、粒度大、产量多而著称,是云南最具特色的宝石资源之一,然而宝石级镁铝榴石相关产出地质特征和形成机理等地质研究基本是空白。我们的研究结果表明,该区镁铝榴石多数已达到中等宝石级,高Cr和贫(FeO+Fe2O3)是该类矿物颜色鲜艳的主要原因之一。宝石级镁铝榴石主要分布在八寨至木厂地区基性-超基性火山岩筒中,特别是玄武质火山角砾岩筒,其中超基性火山角砾(俘虏体)中的二辉橄榄岩为宝石级镁铝榴石的主要赋矿岩石。该类矿物由富Mg质岩浆在地幔高温高压稳定的物理化学环境中缓慢结晶而成,而非地幔包体解体的产物。本区宝石级镁铝榴石具有较大的找矿空间,该成果为马关八寨至木厂地区宝石级镁铝榴石的开发利用提供实际依据。

Our results show that most of the magnesia in this area have reached the medium gem grade. High Cr and poor FeO + Fe2O3 are one of the main reasons for the bright color of this kind of minerals. Gem grade alluvial are mainly distributed in the basal-ultrabasic volcanic rocks in the area from 8th to the woody mines, especially basaltic volcanic breccia, in which the two types of Olive Olive in the ultrabasic volcanic breccia (captive) The rock is the major ore-hosting rock of the gem-quality almandine. This kind of minerals is composed of Mg-rich magma slowly crystallized in the physicochemical environment stabilized by high temperature and high pressure in the mantle, rather than the product of the dissolution of the mantle crust. This area gem-grade alluvial has a larger prospecting space, the results provide the practical basis for the development and utilization of gem-grade alluvial from the Bazhai to Mu Mu area.
