ICON(The index of Complexity Out-come and Need)被认为是一个多功能的(牙合)指数,它建立在来自9个国家97位正畸专家的临床经验之上。
In many government-supported projects, the occlusion index is commonly used to judge whether an individual needs orthodontic treatment. ICON (The index of Complexity Out-come and Need) is considered a multi-functional (occlusal) index based on the clinical experience of 97 orthodontic experts from 9 countries. The purpose of this study was to compare the results of ICON determinations with those of an American orthodontic panel to examine the usefulness of ICON in determining the indications for orthodontic treatment. A total of 170 models were selected in this study, including various categories and degrees of malocclusion. Scores of these models were scored by one judge according to ICON criteria. At the same time, an orthodontic expert composed of 15 central Ohio regions The team also assessed this. The results show that the index is in line with the panel's determination
