Objective: To investigate the role of polymerase Ⅰ and transcript release factor (PTRF) in the pro-malignant function of caveolin-1 inpancreatic cancer.Methods: The structural relevance of PTRF and caveolin-1 in untransformed or transformed pancreatic cells was investigated by interactome analysis.The significance of PTRF in the promalignant function of caveolin-1 was investigated by PTRF knockdown and overexpression.Tissue microarrays from two independent cohorts were used to evaluate the prognostic value of PTRF and caveolin-1 in pancreatic cancer.
