  Apricots are generally consumed as fresh or dried(sulphurised or sun dried).Edible film coating is attracting great attention from industrial and academic environments due to its promising applications in protecting foods against quality losses and extending the shelf life.The materials used in edible coating are generally healthy polymers which make edible coating technique attractive.In this study,it is aimed to extend to the shelf life of sun-dried apricot by means of edible coating and evaluate of sensory properties of coated sun-dried apricots.Hacihaliloglu,the most important dried apricot cultivar of Malatya and Turkey was used.
