Our group has been proposing organic electrode-active materials based on non-conjugated polymers having electrochemically reversible redox couples for organic secondary batteries.1 Polymers bearing highly populated fluorenone are expected to be applied to the anode-active materials which have high energy density and repeatable charge-discharge behavior in the organic-based secondary batteries due to their negative redox potential of the n-type redox active group (Scheme 1).
