The ternary solid-solution single crystal xPb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3-yPb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-(1-x-y)PbTiO3 (PIMNT) is an relaxor-based ferroelectric crystal discovered in recent years, which exhibits excellent piezoelectric, ferroelectric and dielectric properties.The unique properties make the crystal to be favorable for piezoelectric device application such as ultra-sound medical imaging probes, sonar transducers, actuators and nondestructive testing.The Bridgman growth, property characterization and device application of PIMNT single crystals are reported in this paper.
