LsGRP1 is a defense-related glycine-rich protein of Lilium cv.Stargazer with a cysteine-rich C-terminal portion (LsGRP1c) comprised of 38 amino acid residues that exhibits in vitro antimicrobial activity against several phytophathogenic bacterial and fungal species, including the hemibiotrophic fungus Colletotrichum higginsianum.
