Members of the TNF superfamily (TNFSF) are type Ⅱ transmembrane proteins on the surface of immune cells and can be secreted as a cytokine under appropriate activation condition.TNFSFs play essential roles in various biological responses including proliferation, differentiation, survival and cell death.These activities are believed to be mediated by the action of TNFSF on their corresponding receptors.
