In recent times,Indo-Pacific concept has seen discussed in all sets of level,whether political or educational.It is a spatial maritime concept which is widely spread geo-politically and geo-economically from Indian to the Pacific Ocean.It has arisen from various debates in the new maritime potential discourse aimed at defining the seamless links between the Indian and Pacific Oceans and the ties between among the states of both oceans linked by economic interdependence,increasing maritime trade and the links to security emerging from their growth.It is also the rise of Asian maritime power in focussing on open and free trade in this region instead of chasing the various wild geese.In an effort to promote economic wellbeing in Indian Ocean Region,the political suppression of this region has enabled the countries to form an economic groping and sub-grouping.This region comprises of four major powers India,China,Japan,and the United States,as well as significant intermediate players includes Australia,South Korea,and the other Southeast Asian countries.A principal driver in this region has been the emergence of India and China.The rapid expansion of its economics,military expansion and their growing interest in the maritime region.The aspiration of two countries to keep expanding power wealth,military capabilities,and strategic interest in Indo-Pacific become more competitive and cooperative.China into the Indian Ocean and India in a lesser yet increasing way to the Pacific.In parallel with China and Indias growing geopolitical ambitions and influence,the continuing strategic position and involvement of the United States in both the Pacific and the Indian Ocean is a significant factor that distinguishes the Indo-Pacific concept.
This thesis examines the importance and significant global powers shift in the Indo-Pacific in recent years and the reason behind the shift from Europe to the Asia Pacific.In this thesis will discuss soft and influential power in the region and also attempt to show cooperation between two Asian giants India and China.This paper,therefore,will look at in ways of cooperation and challenges between India and China.
This thesis are an attempt to analyse events and trends closely in the Indo-Pacific region.The aim is to determine future security needs and identify steps need to be taken to resolve safety lacunae in the region and to work multilaterally on different perspectives on common security issues,climate change,conflict,and regional cooperation.
