Objective: To investigate the effect of body mass index (BMI) on blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipid. Methods: The subjects were grouped by sex, age and BM I, and the differences of blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipid in each group were analyzed. And the correlations between these factors and BM I were analyzed by partial correlation analysis. Results: With the increase of age, the prevalence of overweight and obesity increased significantly. In all age groups, the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride mean and abnormal rate in overweight and obesity group were higher than those in normal group Reached a significant difference; women’s cholesterol, triglyceride mean and abnormal rate higher than men. CONCLUSION: BM I in men and women is related to blood pressure (diastolic blood pressure), blood glucose and blood lipid (triglyceride).
