Cache通称高速缓存,它用于提高速度较快的设备与速度较慢的设备之间的传输速率。例如,在CPU与内存之间的一级缓存和二级缓存,它们都是Cache。其工作过程是这样的,先将内存中的数据复制一部分到Cache中,CPU访问内存(内存工作频率与基本频率相当)时就优先访问Cache。由于Cache(一级缓存工作频率与主频相当)与CPU的速度差不多,从而提高了CPU的存取速度。在电脑中Cache可以说是无处不有,如果善于利用这些Cache,便可以极小的代价提升你的计算机系统性能。在DOS6.22中也提供了类似的工具——SMARTDRV.EXE,它是针对内存与硬盘之间的Cache,其工作原理与上述相似。在Win9X中也有类似的工具,在Win9X安装目录下SYSTEM.INI文件中的[Cache]项加入: [Cache] mincachefile=4124 maxcachefile=4124(按内存大小16RAM为
