The General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) of the People's Republic of China signed a cooperation agreement with the Ukraine National Radio and Television Commission in Ukraine in November 23 at local time, which marked Chinese-Ukrainian press publishing industry is about to usher in a new era of comprehensive cooperation. The director of Chinese GAPP and National Copyright Administration (NCA) Liu Binjie, who was visiting Ukraine, met with Cody Novich, chairman of the Ukraine National Radio and Television Commission, and signed the agreement on behalf of GAPP.
Ukraine National Radio and Television Commission, belonging to the cabinet of Ukraine, is the administration department of Ukraine Press and Publication Organizations, and mainly responsible for the policy guidance, business management and coordination of press organizations.
According to the agreement, both sides will promote the further cooperation of both countries in the field of press publishing from seven aspects. Firstly, promote, improve and further the equal cooperation and mutual development in the field of press publishing; Secondly, encourage experts of press publishing and relevant fields to communicate and discuss the topics of common concern, and facilitate them participating in various meetings organized at home; Thirdly, exchange all the information and data related to development of press publishing fields of both countries; Fourthly, facilitate the communication of the personnel in the field of press publishing; Fifthly, support the cooperation of press publishing organizations from both countries, and promote the mutual translation and publication on the political, economic, literary, historical, scientific and technical publications; Sixthly, encourage the cooperative publishing between the press publishing organizations; Seventhly, encourage the press publishing organizations from both countries to invest in accordance with the national legislations and regulations of the other party.
