英语泛读课程教学旨在培养学生的阅读兴趣,增强阅读能力,同时也是为了丰富学生的知识面,开拓学生的视野。然而,人们对高职院校英语专业泛读课程的认识仅囿于训练阅读技巧而忽略了泛读课程的其他教学任务。本文旨在剖析泛读课程及教学任务的传统定位,并对其教学任务给予重新定位,进而提出泛读教学课程改革的方向。
English Extensive Reading teaching aims to develop students’ reading interest and enhance reading ability, but also to enrich the students’ knowledge, develop students’ horizons. However, people’s understanding of extensive English courses in vocational colleges is limited to training reading skills and neglecting other teaching tasks of extensive courses. The purpose of this article is to analyze the traditional orientation of the extensive reading curriculum and teaching tasks, and to reposition its teaching tasks, and then put forward the direction of the reform of the teaching curriculum.
