Objective To investigate the effects of 16-slice CT (MSCT) orbital low-dose scanning on image quality and radiation dose in children. Methods 45 cases of children with different tube current axial MSCT scan to assess the quality of CT images and children received radiation dose. Results The volume CT dose volume (CTDIvol) and dose length product (DLP) were significantly lower than those in the previous group when the tube current was reduced from 100mA to 50mA and 30mA, respectively. The images of A group (100mA) and B group (50mA) There was no significant difference in quality (P> 0.05). The image quality of group C (30mA) was lower than that of group A and B (P <0.05). Conclusion The orbital MSCT of low dose (100KV, 50mA) scanning can not only ensure the image quality, but also reduce the dose of radiation in children.
