任何文化都是在客观存在的特定的社会背景下生存和发展的,离开其生存背景,就成了无源之水、无本之木。朱仙镇木版年画的传承和发展也不是偶然的,也有适合其生长的社会基础,正是在这特定的社会基础上,年画艺人根据年画本身的要求,将这门独特的手工艺术世世代代传承至今。回顾这一特定农耕历史时期精神文化媒介的史实,带给人们温馨、愉悦记忆的同时,也显露出苍老、衰败的无助叹息。面对千姿百态的年画即将消失殆尽之时,我们需要做些什么来重新焕发它的魅力,挖掘可以被现代文明社会使用的资源。
