The formative evaluation system that runs through the whole teaching process is a perfect and necessary complement to the current evaluation system. The 20-week teaching experiments and results confirm that the formative evaluation can not only improve the traditional evaluation mode of college English reading courses, but also help improve the English proficiency of English majors.
