In the history textbooks of new middle schools, the “Su region” and “base area” are mentioned several times. So what exactly are they similar? “The Soviet area” and the “base area” refer to the place where the Chinese revolution depends on. The term “Soviet Area” originated during the Second Revolutionary Civil War of our country. It is a historical term with a specific meaning and refers to the revolutionary base established during the Second Revolutionary Civil War. Because the revolutionary regime in its base was established on the basis of the organizational form of Soviet revolutionary power, that is, the form of the Soviet (representative), so this type of base is called the “Su region.” The “base area” is a strategic base for the revolutionary guerrilla warfare to carry out its own strategic tasks in order to achieve the goal of preserving and developing itself and eliminating and expelling the enemy. This is the area where the revolutionary armed struggle is based on for a long time. It specifically refers to the revolutionary base areas during the second domestic revolutionary war, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the third domestic revolutionary war.
