There is a topic for examination of mobile phone text messages in the high school language test questions of Shandong Province that has undergone a new curriculum reform: “When the new year is approaching, you have to send a message to your classmates to send greetings. In this message, please use a myth or fairy tale. Use anthropomorphic or figurative figure of speech. Please write your text message within 80 words.” Coincidentally, some provinces and cities in the college entrance examination simulation questions also appear to write mobile phone text messages. In late January 2005, “Xin’an Evening News” and Anhui Mobile Communications Corporation jointly launched the “Happy Enjoy Mobile New Life” Spring Festival New Year SMS Contest. The text of the entries is between 20 and 65 characters. It is short and concise, it is healthy, and it conveys emotions. The mood is meaningful or easy humor. This is a trend of language life and practicality in the new era. This article discusses how the mobile phone text messages can be borrowed from other people to express their feelings. The purpose is to arouse students’ attention to this aspect.
