In the teaching of English writing, you can use the form of mutual peer assessment to develop students’ learning ability. The peer assessment in English writing teaching can stimulate interest in learning, enhance the learning drive, develop students ’cognitive ability, improve students’ ability to solve problems, strengthen their ability to use learning strategies and achieve their own sustainable development. In order to realize the function of mutual peer evaluation for learning ability, peer evaluation must have clear evaluation criteria, sufficient evaluation time, authoritative evaluation model, heterogeneous evaluation group, timely evaluation feedback and effective evaluation reflection.
