The detention of persons who have been declared guilty or are awaiting trial is a question of theoretical and practical value. This study shows that in a state where the detention rate is low, the bailout support project can allocate sufficient resources and treat those key decision makers in a high profile, indicating that investments in community correction prior to and during the judicial system’s trial The financial and social costs of detention can be reduced and community correction programs also have the potential to enhance the effectiveness of criminal justice systems. However, the political spread of some political factors, such as “cracking down on criminals,” will restrict Australians from adopting community-based remedies within their purview.
