The demand for vitamin C was explored by studying the growth and nutrient utilization of Clarias gariepinus in Africa. Juveniles of catfish having an average body weight of 6.02 g ± 0.4 g were placed in 60 cm × 45 cm × 45 cm glass jars with 10 fish per tank for 3 replicates per treatment. Crude protein content in the five groups were 40%, and the content of vitamin C in the basal diet was determined. In Groups 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, vitamin C polyphosphate was added to the feed in the order of 0 (control), 50, 100, 150 and 200 mg / kg. Feed the fish twice daily with these diets and feed at 9:00 and 16:00 GMT respectively. Catfish juveniles are weighed weekly for statistical analysis. Biological assessment by its growth and nutrient utilization efficiency. The results showed that specific growth rates, food conversion rates, protein efficiency and food efficiency were significantly different from each other in all groups. According to all the experimental results, the juvenile fish showed the best growth and nutrient utilization efficiency in the fourth group supplemented with 150 mg / kg of vitamin C polyphosphate.
