The purpose of screening good curative effect, short course, simple and economical treatment of peptic ulcer best treatment options. Methods Patients with peptic ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori (HP) were randomly divided into A, B, and C3 groups, respectively, with Losec, Furazolidone and Bismuth; Losec and Amoxicillin; Famotidine, Nitrazol and bismuth treatment. Course of treatment: A and B for 2 weeks, C 4 weeks. Results The healing rates of ulcer in each group were 97.6%, 90% and 75%, respectively. The eradication rates of HP were 85.7%, 80% and 72.2% respectively. The healing rates of group A and group C were significantly different P <0.05). There was no significant difference between the other groups (P> 0.05). The recurrence rates of ulcer in three groups were 14.6%, 16.7% and 37% respectively in one year. The recurrence rates of HP were 19.4%, 25% and 46.2% respectively, and the recurrence rates of group A and C were significant (P <0.05). The recurrence rates of other groups were not significantly different (P> 0.05). There were 78 cases of HP eradication in three groups (100%), 20 cases of non-eradication HP and 8 cases (40%) of ulcer healed, both of which were significantly different (P <0.005) The cumulative ulcer recurrence rates were 0 and 7.7%, respectively, with significant differences (P <0.005). Conclusions The immediate and long-term curative effect of group A is better than that of group C and group B, respectively. Eradication of HP plays an important role in the healing of peptic ulcer and preventing the recurrence of ulcer
