In recent years, Chinese academics have emerged from time to time to criticize the trend of modern Confucianism. Many people emphasize that traditional Confucianism is a set of learning about life, not just a set of knowledge systems; it is a set of integral learning that can not be integrated into modern subject classification. They worry: In the modern Western academic system, traditional Confucianism would be fragmented, thus losing its subjectivity and vitality. From time to time, such controversy has arisen in the debate about the legitimacy (legitimacy) of Chinese philosophy. This kind of worry has their own reasons, but there are also some blind spots. Because the traditional academic specialization is not only the traditional Chinese, but also the Western tradition (such as Western Theology) to be the problem. The formation of a modern academic system has its historical background. Although it is somewhat obscured, it has also been revealed. The traditional Confucianism into the modern academic system and knowledgeable, of course, lost, but also income, because it can open Confucianism critical function of modern society.
