劳动是人类维持自我生存和自我发展的唯一手段,是人类运动的一种特殊形式。按照传统的劳动分类理论,劳动可分为脑力劳动和体力劳动两大类。学生在校的学习生活中主要以脑力劳动为主,但是每所学校为了发展学生的体力劳动技能,培养他们爱护生活环境的习惯,保障学生的身体健康发展,学校中学生的通常意义上的体力劳动是指学生打扫教室和其他周边环境的一系列活动。作者在班主任工作中发现,由于教室地面材质的不同,以及卫生工具的选择问题,使得学生在班级日常的劳动过程中往往花费了较多的时间,却做了很多无用功,浪费了时间,也浪费了必要的资源。因此,为了提高学生的劳动效率,学校重视地面材质和卫生工具的选择显得较为重要。
