交际语言教学法(communicative language teaching)的运用使以往死气沉沉的课堂变得充满生机。交际法强调课堂互动,常采用两人会话、小组活动及课堂讨论等形式。教师提问是引导课堂互动的重要方式,教师的课堂提问方式(Nunan,1989)是很多语言研究者关注的话题。Richard & Lockart(1994)就明确指出了教师提问对二语习得的重要影响。展示性提问(display question)和参考性提问(referential question)各有特点,各有优劣。教师在教学实践中应将两种提问方式有机地结合,以适应交互式课堂教学的特点,切实提高学生的语言输出质量。
The use of communicative language teaching has made lifeless classrooms full of vitality. The communicative approach emphasizes classroom interaction and often uses two-person conversations, group activities, and class discussions. Teacher questioning is an important way to guide classroom interaction. Teachers’ questioning in the classroom (Nunan, 1989) is a topic that many language researchers pay attention to. Richard & Lockart (1994) clearly pointed out the important influence of teacher questioning on second language acquisition. The display questions and referential questions have their own characteristics, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. In the teaching practice, teachers should organically combine two kinds of questioning methods to adapt to the characteristics of interactive classroom teaching and effectively improve the language output quality of students.
