苏州市沙洲钢铁厂位于长江下游南岸沙洲县锦丰乡。十年以前,这里还是仅有130万元资金、300多名职工的轧制棉花的工厂。近十年间,他们转业办小钢铁,经历了一条十分艰难曲折的创业道路,现已集聚固定资产1,200万元,职工1,325人,已形成年产16万吨综合生产能力的小钢厂。特别可贵的是,1984年取得了“两合格”、“四提高”、“三降低”、“一增加”的优异成 Suzhou Shazhou Iron and Steel Works is located in Jinfeng Town, Shazhou County, on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
