Recently, China’s investment in Africa has had a positive and negative spillover effect on the African continent. Specifically, while Chinese investment has benefited Africa’s economic viability and the decline in the prices of consumer goods, many African economies have been hit by production and employment because of the huge competition among Chinese enterprises. The study found that for every 1% increase in the stock of direct investment in Africa in Africa, the growth rate of gross domestic product in Africa increased by 0.607%. In order to stimulate China’s direct investment in Africa, it is necessary to provide free visas to Chinese investors entering the African continent, impose low duties on China’s inputs and intermediate commodities, and issue business licenses to Chinese investors to reduce bureaucratic interference.
