中国的世界现代史研究活动与高校的世界现代史教学及教材编写工作有着不同寻常的关系 ,近年来这种互动关系尤为凸现。本期编排的一组文章就是试图从不同角度探讨世界现代史研究的深化与教学、教材改革问题。王玮教授基于“全球史观” ,通过分析世界历史发展主线 ,提出世界近代和现代史新的分期法 ,并就不同阶段基本内容与特征进行了描述 ;郑寅达教授结合近年来我国史学界研究的新成果 ,对世界现代史教材如何把握世界整体性运动与多样化发展的有机结合阐明了自己的见解 ;李世安教授结合当前世界现代史教材建设状况 ,就未来的教材改革和创新问题进行了全方位的论述 ,具有较强的现实指导意义。
