无论在组织培养中或在体内,很多正常组织或肿瘤的细胞群中细胞分裂在时间分布上是随机(散漫)的。有些处理可使这种随机分布在有限的时间内发生改变,使更多的细胞同时通过细胞周期的各个时相,直到通过周期的细胞因不同的前进速度而使其重新分散。同步化的含义是:比平常更多的细胞同时通过细胞周期的各个时相。这可由有丝分裂指数或胸腺嘧啶核苷(简称胸苷)标记指数的暂时峰值来证明。
Regardless of tissue culture or in vivo, cell division in many normal tissues or tumor cell populations is random (scattered) in time distribution. Some treatments allow this random distribution to change over a limited period of time, allowing more cells to pass through each phase of the cell cycle at the same time, until cells that pass through the cycle are re-dispersed due to different rates of advancement. The meaning of synchronization is that more cells than usual pass through each phase of the cell cycle at the same time. This can be demonstrated by the temporal peak of the mitotic index or the thymidine (abbreviated as thymidine) marker index.
