当前,机电一体化技术之一的机器人,作为工厂生产自动化的重要手段,正在多方面积累成功的实例。然而,人们期望机器人能更加积极地出现在我们人类能生活的环境里,完成人所能做的各种工作,还能参与保安、防灾工作;人们还期望机器人能活跃在人类不能生活的环境中——如原子反应堆内或宇宙空间那样的极端环境中工作。要使机器人积极地适应各类不同的环境,就要增强其机能,但目前尚存在严峻的问题,有待于今后通过技术进步加以解决。
