在进行小学英语阅读教学过程中,课外阅读是学生提升自身阅读能力的最佳选择,一方面它可以帮助学生更好地提升自身的阅读速度和对信息的搜索能力;另一方面还能让学生不断积累对英语的相关素材,为以后更好地学习英语打下良好的基础。然而由于小学生掌握的英语技能有限,自我阅读能力较弱,导致学生对课外阅读的学习兴趣并不是很高涨。因此如何更好地提升学生的英语课外阅读能力是很多小学教师需要共同探讨的一个问题,笔者认为,要想实现这一目标,应该以教材为出发点,以网络作为辅助设备,以竞赛作为手段,通过设计各种不同的阅读任务,逐步提升学生的阅读兴趣。
