According to the cutting work of diamond wire saw underwater, its monitoring and controlling system was designed by using PLC as performer and up-down singlechip as data processor, which can control it automatically or manually. The hardware and software of up-down singlechip were designed. The down singlechip consists of signal input, signal separating and water leak electro circuit, which not only can collect the sensors signal on saw wire tension and advancing displacement, but also inspect water leak situation. Using waterproof cable to transfer data from underwater to up single slice computer on board, which bases on RS-485 bus standard. After receiving signal from the down single slice computer, the up single slice computer shows the data on interface and sends out control order to PLC, which controls the electromagnetism valve underwater. In the end, the performance test of this monitored control system was done by cutting pipeline underwater and it can satisfy with the engineering request.
