Formative evaluation is an important part of senior high school English teaching. The establishment and implementation of a teacher-led scientific evaluation system will help teachers to achieve the goal of English teaching. This article discusses this, analyzes the practice and effect of formative assessment in senior high school English teaching, and summarizes the application of formative assessment in the current high school English classroom.
