中国大陆科学钻探工程——科钻1井位于江苏东海县境内,所钻遇地层为超高压结晶变质岩,岩层变化异常频繁,岩石硬度高、密度大,地层倾角在70°以上。在这样的地层中钻进,世界上也是首次。在钻井施工中,在国内首次采用螺杆马达驱动PDC钻头连续取心钻进,大大提高了钻进速度和岩心收获率,并创出2000m先导孔和主孔二孔合一的奇迹。目前该井已顺利完成主孔3000m取心钻进,在3011.45～3020.14m井段获得Φ95.7mm、长3.02m的完整岩心,这是该井开钻以来获得的最长完整岩心,也是世界上在这一层段至今获得的最长完整岩心。
