明代中晚期,中国美学出现近代转型。这种转型的深层基础是当时的经济发展、商业活跃和城市繁荣。它的具体表征是审美通俗化取向的出现,小说戏曲等俗文艺走到历史前台。在对俗文艺的写作及理论构建中,明清士子表达了对百姓日常人生诗意的肯定,对俗文艺社会功能的肯定。虽然明清美学通俗化取向在一定程度上可以与19世纪末以来的现代美学价值观念相对接,但就其自身而言,并没有突破以儒学为主、三教合流的传统文化和思想框架。
In the middle and late Ming Dynasty, Chinese aesthetics appeared modern transformation. The deep foundation of this transformation was the economic development at that time, the commercial activity and urban prosperity. Its concrete characterization is the appearance of aesthetic popularization. Popular literature and art such as novels and dramas goes to the forefront of history. In the writing and theoretical construction of popular literature and art, scholars in the Ming and Qing Dynasties expressed their affirmation of the poetic meaning of daily life of the people and their affirmation of the social functions of popular literature and art. Although the orientation of the popularization of aesthetics in the Ming and Qing Dynasties can be relatively connected with the values of modern aesthetics since the late 19th century, for its part, it does not break through the traditional culture and ideological framework that mainly combines Confucianism and the three religions.
