杭州市“八五”期间的科技工作在市委、市政府的领导下,全面实施“科教兴市”战略,深化了科技体制改革,增强了科技实力,强化了科技投入,推动了杭州经济的发展。近三年来,全市实施各级各类计划共约6000项,其中市级以上2600余项,比“七五”期间5年累计数多600余项,累计获市级以上科技进步奖和星火奖就有775项次,是“七五”期间5年累计数的81.2％,其中相当一部分科技成果达到国内外先进.科学技术的发展促进了本市经济的发展。
