In the teaching of the Concept of the Prism, students often have questions about why the prism is not defined as “there are two faces parallel to each other, and the rest of the faces are parallelograms. The geometry enclosed by these faces is called the prism. Some students even misunderstood that this statement is equivalent to the definition of the prism given in textbooks. Obviously, students’ ”definition" narrative is more concise, but why teach?
