塞缪尔·约翰生是英国百科全书式的文坛巨子,他唯一一部哲理小说《快乐王子:雷斯勒斯》充分体现了约翰生的人生价值观。本文通过这一小说四个汉译本的比较研究,以验证翻译实际上是再创作的过程,译者的翻译思想和对原作的理解导致了译本的差异。
Samuel Johannes is an English encyclopedic literary giant, his only philosophical novel “Happy Prince: Rethley” fully reflects John’s life values. Through the comparative study of the four Chinese versions of this novel, this paper verifies that translation is actually a process of re-creation. The translator’s thoughts on translation and his understanding of the original result in the differences between the versions.
