在当今国际交往中英语扮演着重要的角色,并且随着国际交往的加深更多的人开始意识到文化在英语学习中的重要性。因此,跨文化英语教学的作用也随之变得越来越重要。一般来说,英语教学的首要目的是使英语学习者能够同母语是英语的外国人进行得体的交流。掌握了语言能力是否就等同于正确进行跨文化交际?学习者能否仅仅注意语言本身?本文旨在通过分析语言和文化的关系找出在英语教学中培养文化意识的必要性及方法。文章指出仅仅培养语言能力是不够的,并强调指出为了避免跨文化交际中不必要的误解和迷惑,培养文化意识是十分必要和合理的。
In today’s international exchanges, English plays an important role, and with the deepening of international exchanges, more people are beginning to realize the importance of culture in English learning. Therefore, the role of intercultural English teaching becomes more and more important. In general, the primary purpose of English teaching is to enable English learners to communicate appropriately with foreigners whose mother tongue is English. Grasping the ability of language is equivalent to the correct conduct of intercultural communication? Can learners only pay attention to the language itself? This paper aims to find out the necessity and methods of cultivating cultural awareness in English teaching by analyzing the relationship between language and culture. The article points out that it is not enough to cultivate language ability alone and emphasizes that to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding and confusion in intercultural communication, it is necessary and reasonable to cultivate cultural awareness.
