教授和学习一门外语不能仅仅局限于语音、词法、句法等语言技巧。现代交际能力模式显示,语言学习应该涵盖多方面的内容,其中包括目的语文化和本土文化。鉴于此,通过列举高校英语教材中的一些实例,探讨通过英汉词汇不同文化内涵对比的方法,以期能让学生更好地理解、掌握词汇,并在不同的语境中正确运用词汇。
Teaching and learning a foreign language can not be limited to speech skills, lexical, syntactic and other language skills. The modern communicative competence model shows that language learning should cover many aspects, including the target language culture and the native culture. In view of this, by enumerating some examples in college English textbooks, this paper explores the ways of comparing different cultural connotations through English and Chinese vocabulary so as to enable students to better understand and master vocabulary and to use vocabulary correctly in different contexts.
