《月令》是商周以来各门自然科学、农林牧渔生产实践以及国家管理经验的科学总结和哲学概括，内容相当丰富。它以“天地人宇宙系统论”（三才论）统帅全局；并且以“元气论”为其自然观：以阴阳五行为间架，构筑了一个大系统，万事万物依一定的格式发生普遍性的联系，又各自形成一个小系统，依照一定的规律发展和变化；万事万物的发展和变化都是沿着“圜道”的规律运行的。从而构筑了先秦时期传统农业哲学基本框架。本文对这些问题作了概略的论述。
The “monthly order” is a scientific summary and philosophical generalization of the various natural sciences, animal husbandry and fishery production practice and state management experience since the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, and is rich in content. The development and changes of all things run along the road of “Taoism.” Thus, the basic framework of traditional agricultural philosophy in the pre-Qin period was constructed.
