在湘剧高腔传统剧目《琵琶记》上、下集中,上集由剧院青年演员担任主角,中年主要演员演配角和帮腔;下集由中年主要演员演主角,青年演员演配角和帮腔。上、下集两台戏都很精采,演出气氛都很热烈,演员精湛的表演艺术,显示出古老剧种的蓬勃生机。我特别爱看上集的演出,并不是因为上集的戏比下集好,事实是下集的戏更紧凑,演员的技艺也更深厚。但看上集,却更能看出湘剧的希望和前途,这一台虎虎有生气的青年演员,实在是令人欣羡,令人振奋。饰演赵五娘的演员庞焕励和饰演蔡伯喈的演员邵展凡由北京演出回到湖南后,我问他们有什么感受,他们不约而同地回答:“增强了从事湘剧事业的信心。”接着他们坦陈心曲,涉及到艺术创造、思想教育的各个方面,朴素的语言、美好的愿望,情真意切。多好的年轻人啊!
