本文根据古代的管理智慧,阐述了用人的辩证思维,认为打天下时要唯才是举,坐天下时需要的德才兼备之人;空降兵与子弟兵有不同的优劣势,应坚持两手抓的用人方略;根据德与才的关系,提出应重用君子、改造或利用小人、淘汰愚人;针对“奴才”和人才各自的特点,提出要培养带点“奴性”的人才和有才干的“奴才”的方针;要用人所长,避其短;最后指出如何处理好君与臣、教与练、功与过、同与异的关系。
