日本的近畿车辆、日本车辆、东急车辆三个公司为新加坡生产66编组396辆地铁车辆,本文介绍1986年5月日本交给新加坡12辆(2编组)车的车辆概况。一、主要技术规格技术要求由美国顾问提出,新造车辆要有耐火结构,设计图纸等由英国专家校核。车体外观具有圆筒状欧洲车形的特点,车辆的整体造形和英国为香港制造的地铁车辆相似,按美国标准,外墙板折入,这是该车结构的最大特点。车辆设计的基本方针: (1)应适用于大铁道网; (2)应省能,易维修保养; (3)按美国标准应具有耐火结构; (4)采用ATO装置,一个乘务员就能管理;
