从粳稻品种‘秀水11’导入cry1Ab基因的后代获得了一个矮杆突变体。PCR检测结果显示突变体携带着cry1Ab基因。对F2分离群体的GUS组织化学分析揭示,矮杆性状与插入的T-DNA不呈现共分离,是无性系变异引起的。与对照相比,因少1个节间和各节间均缩短,突变体的株高显著降低。突变体的农艺性状也发生了变化,分蘖数显著增多,但穗长、穗粒数和单株粒重则显著降低。苗期和拔节期赤霉素处理表明该突变体及其野生型亲本均为赤霉素敏感型。
A dwarf rod mutant was obtained from the offspring that introduced the cry1Ab gene from the japonica rice cultivar Xiushui 11. PCR results showed that the mutant carrying cry1Ab gene. GUS histochemical analysis of F2 segregating populations revealed that short stem traits did not co-segregate with the inserted T-DNA and were caused by clonal variation. Compared with the control, due to less 1 internode and internodes were shortened, the mutant significantly reduced plant height. The agronomic traits of mutants also changed, tiller number increased significantly, but the spike length, number of spikelets per plant and grain weight per plant were significantly decreased. Gibberellic acid treatment at seedling stage and jointing stage indicated that the mutant and its wild-type parents were all gibberellin-sensitive.
